Starting her working life with Citibank Mortgage in London, she soon rose to posts in customer service management and administration, overseeing the introduction of groundbreaking technology in their communications department.
In 1992, after four years with Citibank, she returned to join Prudential who were setting up their first Northern Irish telecentre in Belfast. Over twelve years with the insurance giants she developed a comprehensive understanding of the financial services industry, gaining a Diploma in Administrative Management, and taking on a number of roles in customer service and sales management as well as overseeing the budget planning for the building.
Having acquired the necessary expertise, now it was time for Michelle to realise her dream and set up her own business, qualifying as a mortgage advisor. It was after she had established The Belfast Mortgage Company that she received a fateful call from Ross Gunning, who invited her to arrange mortgages and introduce clients for his rapidly growing business investing in European property.
It soon became clear their complementary talents and shared aims demanded a more permanent basis. Property Finders (NI) was officially established in 2006 with Ross and Michelle as co-directors.
“We saw a big gap in the market for a Northern Irish company who knew the local and European property investment market and who people here knew they could relate to and rely on,” Michelle says.
“We have constantly refined our network of relationships with European business partners, from developers to banks and agents and solicitors, so we work not just with people who achieve the best results but who are transparent and efficient too. Our role is to take all the hassle and worry away from our clients and what makes us special is that we take responsibility all the way down the line, right to the end of the process”. |
